doctoral research

The idea for the series emerged in 2006 and was realised in 2016. The works were included among the experiments and illustrative materials accompanying the artist’s doctoral dissertation.

Each object is composed of three primary porcelain elements—a small bowl, a cup, and a handle. The composition is supplemented by a soft flexible wire stem covered in a fluffy synthetic material. In the Game series, additional textile elements are introduced, including yarn, synthetic threads, and flexible rods.

01

Dialogue

In Dialogue, the relationships between cup, bowl, and handle are more restrained and graphic. The soft black wire stem traces gestures and connections between the elements, while the white porcelain preserves the stillness and clarity of the form.

02

Game

In Game, the stable porcelain form becomes an open construction. Yarn, synthetic threads, and flexible rods introduce colour, movement, and new relationships between the separate components.
