poemSo much has passed— still, it rains. So much has passed— —rivers… So close— still, it rains. So close— —held within… So quietly beneath the drops of rain. So quietly— time flows in, unceasing, weeping. So much has passed and continued through me, sank deep, yet the rain never ceased…
Again is a painting series about inward time—the time that appears to have passed yet continues to rain within. The poem does not explain the paintings; it is their point of departure and their inner rhythm. Repetition turns time into accumulation, while rain becomes both a natural image and a metaphor for tears.
The paintings do not narrate particular events. They construct states of being through intersecting verticals, torn edges, seams, openings and layered surfaces. Red-brown masses carry density and memory, while white lines act as interruption, trace or a fragile possibility of passage.
The vertical appears as body and solitude; the horizontal as boundary, current and layer of time. Between them, the image remains both resilient and vulnerable. The series transforms personal experience into a space that does not fully explain it, but allows the viewer to enter its rhythm.
