Wings of Desire is a student photography exhibition exploring longing as a movement between the visible and the unseen, childhood and memory, earthly presence and the possibility of flight.
Inspired by the poetic world of Wim Wenders’s film and Peter Handke’s Song of Childhood, the exhibition brings together distinct photographic perspectives on the angel, the city, the body, shadow and transformed space.
The photographs enter into dialogue with Emilia Ochkova-Dimitrova’s spatial paper structures, unfolding like clouds, and with Georgi Chervendinev’s paper installation Wings. Images and objects thus form a shared field between observation and dream, the material and the imagined.

Nikola Dimitrov, aged 15, a student at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” in Sofia in the violin class of Zornitsa Ilarionova, performs an excerpt from the first movement—Allegro molto appassionato—of Felix Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64.
