paintings for Millennium Spa Center

The paintings, including the triptych The Lagoon from Dreams, were commissioned by interior designer Mladen Penev for the spa complex of Hotel Millennium in Sofia. They were created in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a group of figurative painted collages intended for a shared interior setting.

The photographs were taken in the transport hall of Materials Handling Equipment at the Technical University of Sofia. The industrial scale of the hall provides a temporary setting in which each painting can be seen both on its own and alongside the artist.
